HOW DOES IT WORK?
- Earn a referral bonus of $100 when the person you refer opens an account within 60 days and reaches a balance of at least $2,500 within 60 days of opening it.
- They need to be new to Primis and open up a Primis Perks, Primis Premium, Primis Novus or Primis Savings account. Or, if they are a business owner, they can open a Primis Pro, Primis Unlimited or Primis Business Savings account and reach a balance of $2,500 within 60 days.
- We’ll reward you for up to 5 people each month.
- You have a unique referral link in your email. Click the link to share your friend’s contact information with us, and we’ll take it from there.
- Do we want you to mass email everyone you’ve ever met? Nope. We want you to invite friends that you believe would benefit from our accounts.

Who can make a referral?
The referral program is for Primis Perks, Primis Premium, Primis Novus and Primis Savings customers only.
Who can I refer?
Refer your friends, family, acquaintances and colleagues. Our referral program is intended for you to invite potential customers that may have a genuine interest in our accounts.
In order to receive the referral bonus, we must verify that the people you invite are legitimate, which we’ll do when they complete their application. The person you refer must be brand new to Primis, so referrals of current and existing referrals won’t work. Review account terms and conditions to learn about standard account opening criteria.
How do I make a referral?
Check your email from us about the referral program. You have a unique link in your email to refer friends. All you need to do is click the link and fill out the contact information for the people you’d like to refer, and we’ll take it from there. If you need a new link, email [email protected].
How many referrals can I make?
Thanks for referring us to your friends and family. You’ll receive a $100 referral bonus per referral that qualifies. You can receive a referral bonus for up to 5 qualified referrals per month, though you can invite as many friends as you like.
What if I refer someone and they open more than 1 account?
That’d be great. But remember, your referral bonus is per customer, not per account.
What type of account do my referrals need to open?
Your referral needs to open a Primis Perks Checking, Primis Premium Checking, Primis Novus or Primis Savings account and reach a balance of $2,500 within 60 days. Or, if they are a business owner, they can open a Primis Pro, Primis Unlimited or Primis Business Savings account and reach a balance of $2,500 within 60 days.
How do I get the bonus money?
Once your referral has opened their account and it reaches a balance of at least $2,500, we’ll send you an email and let you know. This balance needs to be met within the first 60 days that they open their account. Your referral bonus will be paid out within 5 days of this requirement being met. We will place this $100 referral bonus directly in your Primis account. If you have more than 1 account, we will deposit the referral bonus into the account that has been opened most recently.
How is this tracked?
Referrals are connected to you by email address, so be sure to use your friend’s primary email address when you refer them. If you believe an error resulted due to an email address, email us at [email protected] and we’ll help get it sorted out.
Why are you only opening 1,000 accounts per month?
For now, when we reach 1,000 new accounts each month, we’re going to pause and stop accepting new customer applications for that month. We don’t want to grow at the expense of our customer experience, so this pause will help ensure every new customer, as well as existing customers, have access to all of the support they need.
If we’ve hit 1,000 customers and your friend would like to open an account, they can simply join our waiting list to be the first to know when accounts can be opened again.
How long will the referral program last?
To be honest, we’re not sure. We’re gauging customer feedback and ensuring that we are rewarding our customers for legitimate referrals. We hope this program lasts long term, but reserve the right to stop or change the program any time without notice. Should we stop the program, you’ll be rewarded for any referrals in the process of opening accounts.
What if I referred someone before but didn’t use my referral link?
You must use your unique referral link to qualify for the referral bonus.
What if I referred someone that has already been referred by someone else?
The first person to refer someone will get the referral bonus if criteria are met.
How quickly does the person I refer need to open their account?
We don’t want to rush anyone. If they open their account within 60 days of you referring them, and reach a balance of at least $2,500 within the next 60 days, you will receive your referral bonus. Remember, we are pausing account opening once we reach 1,000 new accounts each month. Should this occur, the person you refer can join the waiting list and open an account the subsequent month.
Can I refer a family member or someone that lives in my household?
Sure thing. As long as they are a new customer (not a co-owner of your account) then they are eligible for the referral program.
Are there any tax forms needed for my referral bonus?
A 1099 will need to be issued for anyone that earns $600 or more.
Can Primis employees participate and earn a referral bonus?
Primis teammates are not able to participate in this referral program.
What happens if I game the system and recruit friends to open accounts, fund them, and then close them after I receive my referral bonus?
That’s not cool – don’t ruin it for everyone.
Note, that at the discretion of the bank, your account may be closed and reward payment may be denied if the offering is abused.

By participating in the referral program, you waive your rights of privacy and confidentiality relating to your status as a Primis customer and release Primis and its employees from all liability in this respect. The referred person authorizes Primis to disclose their program status to the referrer.
